The Sacred Space Art Gallery in Key West was created when four artists got together in search of studio space. More than two years later, we proudly carry work from 25 local female artists and have 4 working studio spaces in our shop. We specialize in unique artwork & gifts that are made by women in the Florida Keys.
Barbara Sage & Lucy Hawk founded Sacred Space Gallery in August 2020. We both needed studio space and quickly realized there was room to carry artwork by other artists as well. We intentionally find local women who create unique artwork & gifts to feature in the gallery.
For Barb, it all started when she decided to paint a mannequin. Painting was her way of meditation and it was a hobby for many years. In 2017, Barb decided to try to sell her artwork and was met with amazing feedback. Now you can find her work in multiple galleries around Key West including her own, Sacred Space!
Lucy has always created art but strictly as a hobby until the fall of 2019. When she started selling art full time, she was overwhelmed by the support of the local arts community here in Key West. Now only three years after starting her art business, she is amazed that she also co-owns a gallery.
