Keys Fine Art
by Annmarie Anderson
Annmarie and her husband Jimmy live in a quaint conch house in historic Old Tavernier in Key Largo. Her award winning paintings often reflect the sparkling waters, tropical vegetation, “conch” architecture and nautical life she encounters every day.
Every painting is a love letter to the beautiful life she found for herself in the Florida Keys, and she looks forward to sharing the breathtaking passion and sleepy romanticism of conch life with you.
Annmarie Anderson began her study of art at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. After moving to the Florida Keys in 1972, she continued her studies at Miami-Dade Community College and Florida International University. After school, she began a successful career as an interior designer. However, after a few years she decided to spend more time painting, her true love.
Annmarie’s paintings can be found in numerous collections throughout the United States and abroad. She has two galleries that regularly feature her work: Shady Palms Art Gallery and Photography, and the Key West Art Center. Her artwork may also be seen by appointment at her studio, The Cottage in Old Tavernier.
