Mary Jean began painting after a career as a newspaper executive. She captures light, shadow, and shapes in dramatic oil compositions.
Her work can be found at the Key West Art Center. She serves on the board there and is a former board member of the Studios of Key West, where she now serves on the Advisory Board. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America.
Her work has garnered top awards in juried art shows.
