PAINTER MADEK
In the 30 years Madek has lived in Key West, he has been a full time working artist, beginning at the Mallory Sunset Square Celebration Artist Market selling his bamboo art and Didgeridoos as the infamous "Bambooda". He is also a certified Reiki Master, a retired scuba intructor, author, and an avid surfer.
Inspired by the Lowbrow surf art of the 1060's and 1970's, Madek's unique paintings capture island life with a creative imagination, and a touch of humor.
"My art is always evolving. I like to follow creative threads and weave them into my life as an artist. "
Madek's paintings can be found on his favorite islands. He travels with his wife, Kelly Keane, also an artist, between Key West, Kauai, and the San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest.
