Photographer Connie “CJ” Groth has been creating her warm and painterly images of Key West and the Florida Keys since her move to Key West nearly 30 years ago. An expert in natural light photography, she consistently elevates scenes of everyday island life to fine art.
Her inspiration comes from the spirit she finds in “her islands”
She especially loves the village vibe of Key West, the ever-changing reflections and harmony between sea and sky, the beautiful light as it falls on historic buildings, and the wildlife all around.
Her exquisite photos of local life becomes stunning masterpieces with the technical mastery honed from decades as a photographer and colorist. From her earliest darkroom days, she has used her photographic skills as the basis for her artistic vision.
Her iconic images of Key West and the Florida Keys have won awards in multiple photo competitions. Her work has appeared frequently in publications as book covers, and is actively collected worldwide. She is featured at an Art in Public Places display in the Key West International Airport.
